This is getting tiresome

The evidence is clear. This one is blatant; surely he must have known. Two things:
- It is not in the Australians’ interest to repeatedly get caught in these skirmishes. The wicket or the match wasn’t even important. Atleast they can’t blame Indian hysteria or the greedy Indian board this time.
- Journalists must call it exactly as Akram did: “That was not out”. Saying that “… replays suggested that Symonds may have grounded the ball” (link) or “… an Andrew Symonds catch that was the best of the season or another contentious one depending on your geography” (link) does not cut it. There is no need to lend moral equivalence to a situation where none exists.

I think this is matchless when it comes to the media not calling it the way it is. That journalist, in the first half of the video (about the 00:40 mark), actually suggests that the video is inconclusive about Ponting grounding the ball. Either he needs a visit to the optometrist or a change of profession to something more blatantly partisan such as cheerleading.
And Bhogle starting off on a totally pointless debate in the second half of the Symonds video about the fielder being in control. He really should shut up rather than harp on bleeding obvious things.
